How to Save TikTok Photo Carousel (Slideshow) Posts

Beyond regular videos, TikTok also supports a "photo mode" or slideshow format — several images that cycle automatically with a backing track, common on photography, fashion, travel, and pet accounts. Saving these works a little differently from saving a regular video, so here's how.

How a photo carousel differs from a video

Open a carousel post and you'll notice each image holds for a few seconds before switching to the next, rather than continuous video motion — usually with a row of small dots at the bottom showing how many images there are in total. It's fundamentally a combination of images plus music, not a single video file.

Step 1: Copy the post link

Open TikTok, find the carousel post you want, tap the Share icon, and choose Copy link — exactly the same as saving a regular video.

Step 2: Paste it into ReelGrab
